Q: How difficult is this fireplace/mantel to assemble? Can it be placed on my living room shelf? Thank you.

A:Hi, I asked a friend to help me assemble it and I was shocked by how easy it was to put it together. It's sits on my living room floor. It is rather large and heavy; I wouldn't risk placing it on a shelf. 

I am very pleased with it. Nothing beats a real fireplace but this is a nice alternative. All the best!
